New Chairperson and Vice Chair elected at AGM

On Monday 26th September, members gathered for the Chamber's Annual General Meeting at Digby Hall, Sherborne. Following the resignation of Keith Bawden as Chairperson, a new Committee was formed. Local resident and Abbey Radio presenter Taff Martin was elected as Chairperson, with local cafe owner Tina Kerr as Vice Chairperson. Both Taff and Tina have been active members of the Executive Committee for a number of years, and are well known and proactive in the town.

Keith remains a member of the Executive Committee. Mo Gherras and Carl Hankey both stand down as Executive members but remain members of the Chamber, and we welcome Hannah Wilkins (Vineyards), Becky Burns (The Courtyard Salon) and Lee Drage (Kafe Fontana) as new Executive Committee members.

Sherborne Chamber remains the voice for local businesses. Over the next year, we look to strengthen our relationship with the Town Council and the wider Dorset Chamber to ensure members are supported.
